Fire Station Visit

This morning my MOPS group toured a fire station together. Ethan had SO much fun seeing where the firemen "live" and he was very excited about seeing their garage. If you need an excellent station to take your kids to, Station 124 on Hemingway was amazing!

Here is my little fireman in the fire truck.
Me & Ethan in the truck together.

With a fireman's hat on...he wouldn't take it off!
A CHP was in the office writing up a report so his pristine motorcycle was in the garage.
Some of the children on the front of the truck.
Ethan with the firemen!
The firemen all lined up taking our pictures.
Our entire group next to the firetruck.
Can you find us? We are in the front right.
And here is Ethan the second we got home. He put on his shades, because all the firemen had them on, his hat and hopped on his own fire truck.

The Busiest Weekend Ever

This weekend was jam packed with stuff to do! On Friday night Dan and I went to a good friend's birthday dinner while Ethan got to play his heart out at My Gym's Parent's Night Out event. Ever since Ethan's birthday he asks to go to My Gym on a DAILY basis. He got to play there without mommy and daddy for 4 hours! What a big boy. On Saturday morning we headed back to My Gym for their open house because Elmo was in town. Lucky Ethan has "met" Elmo like 5 or 6 times in his short little life.

After our quick hug for Elmo we headed out to Oxnard for Dan's annual company picnic. Ethan was so excited to play with his friend Hayden at the pirate park. Ethan looking through the cannon. On the slide with Hayden & Madelyn Wacking his first pinata! Enjoying their treats from the pinata. Best buds! Our little man is quite the excellent soccer player. He borrowed a soccer ball from a group of guys playing a game at the park and he was off! He dribbled that ball back and forth across the park. After the fun-filled picnic, Dan and I went to his 10 year high school reunion at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. It was neat seeing people we hadn't seen in 10 years! Here we are about to leave for the event.

On Sunday we took Ethan to Disney Live to see all of his favorite friends. Mickey Mouse, Tigger, & Buzz Lightyear were all there. Here we are waiting for the show to start.

Ethan had so much fun. He danced trough the entire show. The huge bummer for Ethan though was that Winnie the Pooh and Pluto were not in the show. That is all that he would talk about. It just amazes me that at his age he realized who was NOT in the show instead of enjoying all the characters IN the show. Silly guy!

After Disney Live Dan surprised me by taking me to a concert at the House of Blues. We saw Better Than Ezra and it was a fabulous show as usual. If you haven't seen them live, you should. They always put on such a great show. Alright, after all that I need a nap! We had a wonderful weekend but I am so glad it is over.

Trip to Pismo Beach

Ethan and I joined my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, and aunt on a fun trip to Pismo Beach. It was so relaxing and so nice to get away from this hundred degree heat! It was only about 60 degrees up there. Here are a few photos from our trip.

Does Ethan ever not have a good time?

L.A. County Fair

This evening we had fun at the L.A. County Fair with the whole Klawer family. Dan's brother Kent and his wife Kimie were able to meet us at the fair. Ethan loves that there is a guy out there that looks just like his dad. Thanks for a fun evening Klawers & Lansings!

First Day of Preschool

Today Ethan and I went to his first day of preschool. It is a Mommy & Me class so I get to go with him. Thank goodness because I am not ready for him to go to school alone just yet. The class is one day a week for an hour and a half. The class is an introduction to preschool so that when the time comes to send him off, it will be a little easier for him...and hopefully me too!

Here he is ready to go to school.
When we walked into his classroom, he ran right over to his teacher (whom he has never met before) and gave her a huge hug. After we sign in, it is freeplay. Here is Ethan playing with playdough.
Then he found the trains!!!
His friend's Lily & Mason from music class are in this class too! Here they are doing dot art.
Concentrating on his artwork.
Time for stamping with his teacher.
Ethan was the first one done with his snack so his teacher asked him if he would like to help take the wagon of sand toys outside for the class. He jumped at the fun job and took it very seriously.
Playing with Lily in the sand.
Going down the slide with Mason.
When the class was done playing outside, Ethan insisted on being the one to take the wagon back inside. He is definitely going to be the teacher's little helper.

MOPS Zoo Day

Today part of my MOPS group went to the LA Zoo together. The weather was just beautiful and the place was pretty much empty! Most of the animals were out and ready for visitors. We had such a fun day!
