Swinging and Swimming

In lieu of doing our three times a week five mile walk at the park, we have been meeting at my friend, Alison's mom's pool to do a workout. Ethan is totally not into it. Here he is just watching us from afar.

We got him to jump in for a little bit. Here he is relaxing after his tiring water workout.

Painting For The First Time

Yes, Ethan is almost 2 and he has never painted before. Today I bought him one of those books that came with a paint strip and let him have fun. He was way more interested in painting himself than painting the paper. It was so much to watch!

Duck, Rabbit, Celebs, and More

What a fun week we have had. We stayed home a lot this week which we haven't done in a long time. Here is our cool dude playing baseball with a soccer ball. He was the pitcher and Grandma was the batter. Ethan needed his sunglasses on as well as his backwards train conductor hat to pitch the ball more effectively. So funny! A typical morning activity for our sophisticated man. Reading a luxury home magazine with his duck.
Taking a cute break from all that hard work.

Riding the carousel at the mall.
He insisted on riding in the "teacup." On Saturday night we went to the Orange County Fair with Dan's family. Here is Ethan being silly with Daddy.

What a precious little face! I'm sorry...I had to post all of his cute faces. I couldn't pick just one! Ethan petting the soft sheep.
Now it is the rabbits turn for a pet.
Here is Ethan watching a crazy ride. I love his reaction! We met our friend's this morning in Santa Monica for breakfast. Afterwards we went to the Brentwood Farmer's Market. We bought lots of yummy fruit as well as saw these two lovebirds feeding each other. How cute.Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart

Berry Picking at Underwood

Today Ethan and I met some friends at Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark to pick some berries. We had such a fun time. If you haven't been, it is another must! It is only $3 to get in and then you pay per pound for all the fruit and veggies you pick. There are animals, train rides, jumpers, a playground, among other things. It was such a nice time...we can't wait to bring Daddy back.

Ethan loved riding the tractor

How cute are these guys stuffing their mouths with strawberries?
Ethan in the strawberry patch. I tried to get Ethan to help me pick berries to put in our basket but I don't think ANY of the berries he picked made it to the basket. He was just sitting in the patch chowing down.
There are just no words for this picture!
Ethan & the ponies
He won the award for the dirtiest face!
Loving the train ride with his friend Mason.
How funny is this?
The goats can roam up above the whole animal area.
Look at the goat sticking his head out of the playhouse.

What a fun day! If any one ever wants to go, we would love to go with you. Just let us know when.

Circus Circus Circus!

We had a lovely Sunday. Ethan woke up in a great mood...
Our friends, The Geetings, invited us to join them in the Landsberg box at the Honda Center to see the circus. Landsberg is the same company that Dan works for. Here is Ethan on the way down to the show. I just love sleeping babies!
All the kids enjoying the circus!
Okay, so I went a little crazy with taking pictures of the elephants. It was definitely my favorite part of the show. I was just amazed at what they were doing. I couldn't pick just one photo to share!
Ethan said the "L Es went ni ni."
Amazing!
How cool!
Really?
Spectacular!
Another good part of the show was the tigers.
I definitely would not want to be that guy!
And some more elephants...
All the kids in the box
I am so thrilled that we were able to go with The Geetings and sit in a box. We probably would have had to leave half way through the show if we were sitting in a regular seat. Ethan would get totally bored when there weren't animals in the ring. When there were clowns out there making a fool of themselves, Ethan would say, "All done with these people." He would then walk to the door to leave. All in all we had a fantastic time. Ethan's favorite part of the show was when two people were shot out of a cannon. He was totally scared the minute it happened but as soon as he saw the people land he kept saying MORE MORE MORE!

Here is Ethan on the way home telling us all about the "boy" that "shoop (shoot) fly high land." It is all he will talk about!!!

Saturday Funtivities

It was one of those Saturdays were we both kept asking each other, "What do you want to do?" "I don't know. What do you want to do?" We got in the car and started driving and Dan took us to Carney's. If you haven't been there, you must go! It is a restaurant on a train car. Ethan of course loved every minute of it. He even got his very own hot dog which he was thrilled about. My dad used to take me here when I was young so I always love going to Carney's because of that. It is neat to share it with Ethan now.

Here is Daddy & Ethan outside of Carney's
In the evening we had the Taylors over for dinner. Ethan and Julia loved playing with each other again. We were letting the kids play outside while us adults stayed in the air conditioned house, then we saw this...
They had turned the water table into a pool. Look at Ethan's face in the photo above...he knew he wasn't supposed to be standing in the table.

Swimming in Paradise

Tonight the Taylors hosted a summer dinner at Melody's parent's house...The Paradises. Here are a few photos of the kids having fun in the pool.
