Ethan's new favorite thing to do is take a sheet of stickers and stick them ALL over himself. He sticks them on his head, his chin, his eyes, his nose, his arms, his shoes...everywhere! He thinks he is hilarious! He doesn't stick them on himself very well so they end up falling off throughout the day. I have crumpled up stickers all over my car and all over our house. Here is a very mild picture of our new Sticker Man!

Our Lovely Saturday
Today we had a lovely Saturday. We started off with a walk through Bridgeport to see the ducks. Ethan had such a great time. He saw ducks, fish, and turtles. Afterwards we ate lunch outside at The Habit...my favorite!

a great idea to hug every plant along the way
After nap we met our friends, The Taylors, for dinner and ice cream. Ethan and his friend Julia had a great time playing out front the ice cream shop. Ethan was watching Julia do her thing and ended up walking right into a tree. The tree hit him right in the center of his forehead. I was just waiting for him to start crying. He ended up laughing hysterically. It was the hardest and longest he has ever laughed. Once he realized that all of us were laughing at him too, he kept reenacting walking into the tree. I really wish I had gotten all that on video!

Knott's Berry Farm
Today Ethan and I went to Knott's Berry Farm with my friends Alison and Aja. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the park wasn't crowded at all. We had such a wonderful day. Ethan loved all the rides...some we rode over and over. He called all of the fast roller coasters choo choos. It was so much fun seeing my little boy all grown up. Ethan also loved Snoopy. He ran over to him every chance he got to give him a hug. What a fun day!
Ethan very excited about the day

Happy Birthday Hayden!
Today we went to Travel Town in Griffith Park for our friend Hayden's 2nd birthday party. It was by far one of the most fun birthday parties we have been to. Ethan had such a great time being with his friend Hayden and seeing and playing with all of the trains. As you can tell by how many pictures we took, we had a wonderful time. Thanks Geetings for a fun party!

Wee ooo wee ooo wee ooo
Today at lunch we ran into our fireman friend, Ryan. He was one of the firemen that was assigned to protect our street when the brush fires were going on. When Ryan saw Ethan he picked him up and brought him over to his firetruck, sat him in the front seat, gave him a sticker badge, and put his fire hat on him. It was really neat to watch now that Ethan knows what firetrucks are and is really interested in them. I told Ethan that Ryan was a fireman and he said, "ahhh oh." He heard the word FIRE and thought "no, hot, don't touch!" I love how Ethan's little brain works! If anyone wants a great fire station to take their kids to, go to the one in Stevenson Ranch right next door to Abby Lane.

Soccer Class
Ethan is really into kicking balls these days. All he does at home is kick balls from room to room. A friend told me about this soccer class for 18 month olds so I thought we would try it out today. The coach talked to these little one year olds like they knew what she was saying to them. She would say, "go down to that goal, get a ball, kick it all the way down the field, and score a goal." What??? None of the kids had any clue but it was fun to watch. Ethan had a good time but I don't think we will be going back anytime soon.

Todd Longshore Park
The weather was beautiful today! My friend Wendy called me today for an spur of the moment playdate after naps. I just love doing things spur of the moment! Ethan and I met her and her two kids, Aaden and Clara, at the park for some fun. Ethan ran right over to the teenage girl's soccer practice going on at the park. He wanted to play with them so bad. Finally two girls came over and played soccer with him. When he was done with his game he played in the sand. This was probably the first time he has ever played in sand. Most parks around here have woodchips so sand was quite a new exerience for him. He loved throwing it and even licked some off of his hand. Yummy!
