Ethan's new friend

I just started watching my friend, Jackie's, two and a half month old baby. Her name is Delaney and Ethan loves her to pieces. On days that she isn't at our house, he walks around all day saying, "Laney?". It is too cute! He will make a great big brother SOMEDAY! Here is our first outing to the mall. It looks easy right?

Merry-Go-Round

We have finally reached the point in Ethan's life where he knows what the merry-go-round is. We were at the mall today and we were walking past the Gap, which is halfway across the mall. Ethan starts ROARing as loud as he possibly can. We start looking around for a Tiger or a Lion somewhere. Then we realize that he sees the merry-go-round all the way across the mall. Once we get closer he starts yelling all of the animals names/sounds that are on the merry-go-round. "Bebra" "Roar" "(insert elephant noise here)" "Neigh" "Oki (ostrich)" Why he knows what an ostrich is is beyond me. Anyway, we started out on the Lion and then he kept yelling "Bebra" so we moved to the friendly zebra. The whole time while on the merry-go-round he would say, "up" as we went up and "down" as we went down. He never seizes to amaze me! I guess every time we go to the mall now we will have to ride the merry-go-round!

Ethan's Cousins

Today Ethan's cousins, Evan and Alex, came over to play. They had fun racing around the house on little cars. Ethan had so much fun playing with the "big" boys.

The Gentle Barn

Today we took Ethan to the Gentle Barn. It is an organization that rescues severely abused animals. It is also a program for inner city and at-risk youth to help build self-esteem and learn positive values. The Gentle Barn is open every Sunday to the public and I have been wanting to take Ethan there for months. The weather was absolutely perfect today so we headed over there and had a blast! We hope to go back for a visit soon.
